COLORADO SPRINGS -- An accident in Colorado Springs Thursday night leaves one man seriously hurt and in trouble with the law.
The accident happened just after 11PM on Fountain and Powers boulevard.
Police say the driver of a Ford Fairmount was headed east on Fountain when he lost control and served off the right side of the road. He turned the car back towards the road, but over-corrected and hit the median. His car flipped over the median. He was ejected and pinned down by his car.
A driver in a Toyota Corolla struck the car, but that driver is doing fine.
The driver pinned down was pulled out and taken to the hospital. He is in critical condition. Police have arrested him for driving drunk.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla was also arrested on a unrelated warrant.
Fountain Boulevard was closed down for about two hours while police investigated the crash.
