This Afternoon: We'll keep the chance for some light snow showers for the higher terrain around the Pikes Peak region and the higher terrain south and west of Pueblo, but most of the moderate to heavy snow will continue to head southeast. Some spots across the southeastern plains could see around half of a foot of snow or more in cases. Windy conditions will lead to blowing and drifting snow. Also, roadways all across southern Colorado are snowpacked in many cases, leading to hazardous travel conditions. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect through Monday morning for the plains as we'll see some heavy snow at times.
Tonight: The snow will come to an end from west to east with clearing skies. Cold with lows in the single digits and teens for our local mountain communities with teens for most of the plains.
Extended: We'll be brisk Monday with snowpack from Sunday's storm. Expect warming conditions through mid-week with a another storm possible by next weekend. We will continue to track that system and bring you the latest as it develops.
