Associated Press - November 5, 2009 5:34 PM ET

NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) - A man arrested in Norfolk on suspicion of a beating death in Colorado has changed his mind and is waiving extradition.

Jayson Oslund of Rocky Ford, Colo., submitted documents in Madison County Court this week that will leave him to face a murder charge in his home state. He had originally refused to waive extradition.

The 28-year-old Oslund is accused of beating 18-year-old Matt Maez on Sept. 5. Maez died more that a week later of head trauma.

Oslund was arrested Oct. 28 on an arrest warrant for first-degree murder issued in Pueblo, Colo.
