WOODLAND PARK - Snow continues to fall Wednesday in Teller County. Drivers will deal with some snowpack and occasional slick areas on streets, roads and highways as roads refreeze overnight. But some of the snowpacked roads began melting in the afternoon.
As of 7 a.m., Teller County implemented a full call-out of 16 plows to keep roads clear during morning and evening rush hour. Woodland Park also maintained a full response of 7 plows, although many sidewalks remained covered in about 4 inches of snow. Officials say residents should understand that main roads are a priority, and that secondary streets will be addressed as soon as possible.
CDOT plows are regularly working on U.S. 24 through Ute Pass. No major problems or accidents were reported.
Winds are gusty at times, but snow continues to accumulate, and temperatures are below freezing. Be careful if you plan to be driving. NEWSCHANNEL 13 will track conditions for you during this storm.
