DENVER (AP) - A federal grand jury in Denver has indicted two Hartsel residents accused of illegally trapping, killing and selling bobcats and their pelts to out-of-state customers.

A 15-count felony indictment of Jeffrey M. Bodnar and Veronica Anderson-Bodnar was returned Monday outlining alleged violations of wildlife laws between November 2006 and March 2008.

The indictment says Bodnar killed bobcats outside of hunting season in Park County without a valid license, using a firearm to kill animals that allegedly were caught in prohibited leghold traps.

The indictment alleges that Anderson-Bodnar falsely certified that the pelts were taken legally.

Phone numbers for the two could not be found, and court records didn't list lawyers for them.
