DENVER (AP) - Colorado has hired a group called Veterans Green Jobs to weatherize about 240 houses in the San Luis Valley in the southern part of the state.
Gov. Bill Ritter said Tuesday the program will create or retain about 20 jobs and provide weatherization for low-income homes.
The $1 million project is funded with federal stimulus money.
The work will be done in Saguache (suh-WAHCH'), Mineral, Rio Grande, Alamosa, Conejos (koh-NAY'-hohs) and Costilla counties.
