COLORADO SPRINGS - New information in the 8-person crash at Powers and Omaha Friday night.
Merrianne McDowell was trying to make a left turn onto Powers when she was hit by a pickup. The pickup driver was a 16-year-old.
McDowell was taken to Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, two kids in her car had serious injuries, and 5 teenagers in the pickup had serious injuries.
Troopers say alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
McDowell is from Cheyenne Wells. She is now recovering from surgery.
