COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued tornado warnings for southern El Paso County and parts of Colorado's eastern plains.
The Lincoln County sheriff's office reported a funnel cloud near Limon Wednesday.
The sheriff's department also said there was flooding after 2 inches of rain fell about six miles south of Limon. An intersection on Colorado 71 was under 3 feet of water.
Hail up to the size of golf balls was reported south and west of Pueblo.
Forecasters say radar detected a rapidly rotating storm over El Paso County afternoon that could produce a tornado. The towns of Security and Fountain could be affected, as well as far-southeastern Colorado Springs.
The Weather Service says radar detected another severe thunderstorm near Burlington in Kit Carson County that could produce a tornado.
