Climber Rescued in Custer County

CUSTER COUNTY - A climber stuck in the mountains of Custer County is at a Pueblo hospital after a successful rescue Tuesday morning.

28 search and rescue members from across southern Colorado located the injured hiker between Crestone Peak and the Crestone Needle, about 40 miles northeast of Alamosa.

Custer county search and rescue tells us the victim was lowered from a traverse to Cottonwood Lake, from where he was flown to pueblo.
