COLORADO SPRINGS - Several suspects still on the loose after a string of smash and grab robberies in Colorado Springs.
Four businesses were broken into between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.
An employee of EZ Pawn on 410 East Fillmore Street found that a large window in the front of the business had been broken out. Officers cleared the building and did not find anyone inside. Police determined that the business had been entered, and some electronic equipment was stolen.
A burglary Apex Sports at 327 S. Weber Street left the front window smashed and motocross style clothing strewn along the front sidewalk. No suspects were found.
A door was busted down at a Diamond Shamrock and Shoe Carnival. Suspects were seen leaving from both the Shoe Carnival and Diamond Shamrock but no arrests have been made at this time.
Windows were smashed out at Barfields Tattoo, where several knives and swords were stolen.
