COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Department of Corrections says that an inmate who ran away from the Colorado Correctional Center was captured in Evergreen Thursday.

22-year-old Joshua Yapp was arrested by police around 11:25 a.m. ending the day long search. Yapp was convicted of possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to 36 months, out of Park County.

Ari Zavaras, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, credits the hard work and dedication of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Park County Sheriff's Office, as well as the Colorado Department of Corrections' investigators and parole officers for the successful apprehension of the offender.
