DENVER (AP) - The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of 3 counties Thursday after radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a twister.
It was the fifth day in a row for severe weather along Colorado's Front Range.
The weather service advised residents to take cover in areas including Byers, Country Gardens and Strasburg. The warning issued until 2:30 p.m. MDT covered south-central Adams County, central Arapahoe County and northwestern Elbert County.
An earlier warning that covered western Arapahoe County and eastern Douglas County was allowed to expire.
There were no immediate reports of confirmed tornadoes or damage.
The National Weather Service also said one-inch diameter hail could be expected with the storm.
