MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) - A Montezuma County man has been arrested following a one-vehicle crash that killed his passenger.

Thirty-9-year-old Timothy Peterson of Lewis was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide Tuesday after his release from a Grand Junction hospital. He's also being held on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under revocation and other charges.

Peterson is accused of being drunk when he crashed his Jeep Grand Cherokee along Colorado 92 near Crawford on Friday. Sixty-1-year-old William Studebaker of Crawford was killed.

Peterson was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

He's being held on $60,000 bail in the Montrose County jail.

Crawford is about 21 miles northeast of Montrose and 165 miles southwest of Denver.
